Job Summary This role reports to the Director of Targeted Marketing & Field Publicity and works at the direction of the Director and Senior Publicist Junket team. The role of Junior Publicist on the Targeted Marketing & Field Publicity is an exciting opportunity within our overall Global Publicity team. This junket team is responsible for the overall junket strategy, logistics, and scheduling for all branded content theatrical and platform releases (Walt Disney Studios, 20th Century Studios, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar, Lucasfilm, Marvel, Disney+ and Hulu). This is an IATSE Local 600 Publicist Guild position covered by a collective bargaining agreement. This position is a 6 month Project Hire role with an end date of 05/15/2026.

Responsibilities

Compile, draft and distribute directives for Walt Disney Studios, Pixar, Disney Animation Studios, Lucasfilm, Marvel, Disney+ and Hulu global junkets and press days with pertinent details and deadlines to the applicable divisions such as domestic and international press teams, digital and marketing teams.

Work closely with film title, VP and talent leads to ensure all outlets and specialty requests are fully vetted and resolve any conflicts or issues to ensure talent/filmmaker satisfaction.

Create a comprehensive press schedule for the overall event that encompasses all approved requests submitted by relevant teams (targeted, multicultural, national, international digital) and takes into account the title's strategic priorities.

Oversee all in-person, virtual and hybrid event logistics including researching potential locations and conducting site‑visits when needed, selecting and securing the production company, obtaining quotes and facilitating the necessary contracts for vendors as well as selecting room backgrounds, special photo suites and room setups.

Ensure each event is properly staffed and route staffing memo to the department EVP and team VP for approval.

Provide updates for upcoming events during staff, film team, and junket team meetings.

Maintain event budget and communicate anticipated costs to the title and finance teams.

Draft and circulate final schedules and wrap reports upon completion of a junket to executives and key stakeholders.

Partner with Press team to ensure junket screenings are booked and staffed.

Oversee circulation of junket materials (i.e. interview footage and transcripts, etc).

Partner with events team on required press travel.

Selecting and securing junket location and rooming needs.

Partner with internal teams (i.e. consumer products, costumes, Digital etc) to ensure representation at the junket, as needed.

Vendor invoice processing.

Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines with budgetary constraints, and changing priorities.

Other duties as required.

Qualifications

2+ years of relevant experience in publicity and junkets/events

Must have advanced knowledge of Excel

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Detail‑oriented with superior organizational skills.

Creative mindset.

Passion for pop culture and entertainment.

Able to prioritize, multi‑task, and work well with others in a fast‑paced environment.

The ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and perform well under pressure.

Flexibility to work evenings/weekends on a as need basis.

The pay rate for this position in California is $2,816.40 per week based on a 48.6‑hour work week.
