Job Purpose The Shipping Supervisor ensures finished goods are packaged according to specification and shipped in a timely manner. This role manages staffing, training, performance, inventory control, and coordinates with vendors, customers, and carriers.

Nature of Duties / Responsibilities

Accept, verify, and store receiving materials or finished goods.

Place products in proper inventory locations and package finished goods for timely shipment.

Pick, kit, and ensure orders meet shipping schedules.

Maintain documentation reflecting department effectiveness and efficiency.

Develop, evaluate personnel, and supervise clerks engaged in shipping, storing, and receiving.

Unpack and check goods against purchase orders or invoices; maintain records.

Lift heavy items and operate a forklift, standing up, sitting down rider, and hand pallet jack.

Follow all company and facility policies, including quality, safety, conduct, and attendance.

Coordinate availability of orders/products with production team.

Inspect warehouse condition and suggest improvements to save time or reduce costs.

Perform quality control to ensure shipped products are in excellent condition.

Report any damages or discrepancies for record-keeping.

Assist with inventory counts of finished goods and packaging materials as needed.

Train staff to company procedures, shipping functions, and conduct inventory counts.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or minimum 4–6 years of experience managing handling materials, including receiving, inventory control, shipping, and logistics personnel.

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word); Oracle preferred.

Crating, packaging, FedEx, UPS, international shipments, and commercial invoices experience preferred.

Must be able to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet deadlines; flexible schedule and extended hours when required.

Must be a team player capable of interacting with internal and external customers.

Must be able to read and understand English.

Must lift 50 lbs and possess equipment, safety product handling, product knowledge, intermediate computer skills, customer service and problem‑solving skills.

Salary Range (annual) $68,640 - $70,967. Actual base pay within this range will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills. The total rewards package includes health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company paid holidays, paid time off, and potential eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and discretionary bonus program.
