Position Summary

The Digital Systems Design Engineer works with our internal design team as well as our supplier network to design and develop the software for our White River Marine vessels. Works with supplier network to assure they have all the information they need to provide the highest quality digital systems with accurate, easy to understand software for the quickest turn around time possible. Works with brand management team to assure the software looks and functionally meets and exceeds the requirements for the brand. Works with electrical engineering/design team to assure the design is complete while making sure the design scope is met. Construct system test boards for the digital systems utilizing hand tools and working with the CAD/CNC router team to have panels cut for mounting the components. Runs final system install verification tests on the vessel before moving to production. Essential Functions

Works with multiple digital system manufactures to assure the design and development of the software meets the requirements of the project. Works with internal teams to set and record the requirements for the project. Completes the project in a timely manner with milestones objectives and quality documentation to align with the vessel project. Completes the required documentation for the digital systems design and final approval check lists. To include troubleshooting guides and manuals. Analyzes and tests the software and reports any bugs to the suppliers. Designs and development of tabletop test boards for each digital system. Final software/system validation testing. ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED Experience / Qualifications

Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, electrical/Mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Ability

Experience with CAN Bus and Marine network communication systems (NMEA 2k, J1939, etc.). Experience in GUI/Digital Display programming, functionality, operation, and construction. Experience with marine grade displays and digital components a plus. Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 2D and 3D CAD software experience a plus (AutoCAD, CATIA) Experience with Microsoft Office Suite software (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power point, Project).
