Temporary Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Part-time University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus Department: Colorado Center for Personalized Medicine Biobank Job Title: Temporary Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Part-time Temporary position limited to no more than 6 months. Onsite work in Aurora, CO. Responsibilities
Laboratory procedures including analysis of clinical and research samples by molecular biology methods Genetic testing of human samples in a clinical laboratory environment DNA quantification and quality control assays Perform molecular genetic and genomic assays (e.g., genotyping by microarray, Sanger sequencing, TaqMan genotyping); data analysis, result interpretation, and maintenance of laboratory records and instrumentation General laboratory duties including reagent lot validation, inventory management, laboratory maintenance projects, quality control, and quality assurance activities Ensure compliance with CLIA certification and CAP accreditation in all laboratory duties Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other mandated Office of Information Technology regulations Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor\'s degree in Biological or Medical Laboratory Science from an accredited institution with 2 years of professional experience in a clinical laboratory setting Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Molecular Biology with understanding of microarray assays, specifically Illumina Global Diversity Array (GDA) or Illumina Infinium chemistry Hands-on experience with automated pipetting systems, 96-well plate stampers, and electronic multichannel pipettes Experience with a Laboratory Information System (LIS) and data entry Troubleshooting instrumentation in molecular laboratories ASCP Certification Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of molecular biology, genomic variant analysis, and data entry into LIS and EHR systems How to Apply
