Additional Job Description The WVU School of Medicine and the WVU Heart & Vascular Institute seek non‑invasive cardiologists (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor) for faculty positions in Parkersburg, WV.
Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Virginia. In such instances, travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these additional sites.
Qualifications
M.D. or D.O. degree (or foreign equivalent) and eligibility for a state medical license.
Board certified in internal medicine.
Board certified or eligible in cardiovascular disease.
Additional certification or intent to certify in imaging modalities such as echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, cardiac CT and/or MRI.
All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
Responsibilities and Opportunities
Providing excellent patient care as a non‑invasive cardiologist.
Actively involved in teaching medical students, internal medicine residents, and cardiology fellows.
Participation in clinical research.
Collaborating with surgeons, radiologists, vascular specialists, and other clinicians to advance heart and vascular care.
