Technical CAE Engineer
with deep expertise in crashworthiness and body-in-white (BIW) analysis to drive advanced simulation initiatives and shape the next generation of vehicle safety systems.
Key Responsibilities
Perform full vehicle crashworthiness simulations and subsystem/component-level analysis using LS-DYNA and ANSA.
Develop and validate CAE methods related to BIW crash simulations, with a focus on frontal and side impact scenarios.
Automate CAE workflows and integrate AI/ML-driven approaches into simulation processes.
Support the development of robust, repeatable 1D/3D CAE models for crash and safety analysis.
Ensure simulation methodologies align with global safety regulations, including FMVSS, ECE, and NCAP standards.
Leverage optimization tools such as modeFRONTIER or iSight to drive design improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to interpret results, recommend design changes, and enhance vehicle performance.
Required Skillset
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
7+ years of industry experience in CAE simulation and methodology development.
Proven expertise in full vehicle crash analysis and BIW crash simulation.
Proficiency in LS-DYNA, ANSA, and post-processing tools.
Familiarity with regulatory crash test standards: FMVSS, ECE, NCAP.
A relevant advanced degree (e.g., M.S. or Ph.D.) may substitute for up to 2 years of experience.
Bonus Skillset
Programming skills in Matlab, Python, and VBA are highly desired.
Experience with AI/ML in CAE and workflow automation is a strong advantage.
Experience with CAE tools such as Nastran, Abaqus, Hypermesh is preferred.

Salary: $78,000.00-$105,000.00
