Position Description We're hiring a Quality Engineer at our Jefferson City, MO location supporting our Air Cooled Applications vertical. Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Engineer will work closely with Operations and Engineering creating a quality product for our customers. This role will take care of supplier, production, and customer issues. The QE will conduct PPAPs and APQPs, answer any corrective actions, maintaining our customer portals, and follow up on items. In addition, the QE will review non conformance trends and make corrective actions as necessary. This is a fully onsite position during our day-shift, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitating implementation and auditing ISO 9000, IATF-16949, and quality system requirements
Conduct internal audits of products, processes, and systems, identify and follow-up on areas for improvement, and assist with the implementation and follow-up of correction action
Support activity to define and share status of key performance indicators and lead/participate in process improvement and problem solving.
Addressing quality issues for suppliers, production, and customers.
Control Panel development
Utilizing lean and continuous improvement methodologies
Working cross-functionally with Operations and Engineering.
Required Education & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline is required for this position
1-3+ years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
Basic knowledge and work experience on core tools: FMEA, APQP, MSA, QSA. AIAG certification is a plus.
Experience with quality tools: Pareto, cause and effect, flow charts, control charts, check sheets, scatter diagrams, histograms
Working knowledge in statistical methods: SPC, process capability indexes
Basic knowledge Metrology and desirable experience on Measurement System Analysis (GR&R)
Working knowledge problem-solving tools: 8D, PDCA, Six Sigma, DMAIC, etc.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
Ability to work in a fast environment
Solid skillset in project management, communication, and problem-solving
