Position Summary
The Bookkeeper will play an integral role in maintaining accurate and compliant financial records for the clinic. This position supports the CFO by handling day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, reconciling accounts, processing payments, and assisting with financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, trustworthy, and experienced in healthcare or medical practice accounting, where confidentiality and precision are paramount. Key Responsibilities
Manage daily bookkeeping functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. Process invoices, vendor statements, and staff reimbursements promptly and accurately. Maintain and update the general ledger, journals, and supporting documentation. Collaborate with the CFO to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Support payroll processing, and benefits tracking as needed. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for operational decision-making. Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and vendors to ensure financial integrity. Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes within the clinic’s operations. Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience in bookkeeping or accounting will be considered in place of formal education. Strong working knowledge of accounting software (QuickBooks preferred). Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. High degree of discretion and respect for confidentiality in handling patient and financial information. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
