Job Overview A globally recognized and reputable industrial manufacturing organization seeks to hire a

Senior Accountant

at their highly profitable and rapidly growing production site in Southeast Michigan. Reporting to the Senior Controller, this high‑visibility role will be responsible for supporting financial reporting and analysis functions for the plant. This is a permanent, direct‑hire opportunity.

Primary Responsibilities

Support month‑end close by preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and maintaining key financial schedules.

Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, providing insights and recommendations to management.

Track fixed asset and tooling spending, compile invoices, capitalize or dispose of assets per company policy, and invoice tooling to customers as required.

Prepare weekly reports and other financial summaries for senior management.

Assist in developing budgets, quarterly forecasts, and business plans.

Participate in year‑end audit preparation, including workpapers and reconciliations.

Support ongoing improvement of accounting procedures, internal controls, and financial systems.

Ensure compliance with all corporate accounting policies, internal controls, and applicable regulatory standards.

Provide backup support for the Controller as needed and contribute to special projects.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.

Minimum of 3 years of finance/accounting experience in a manufacturing operations environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, INDEX, etc.)

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Proven ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Demonstrated teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
