Job Summary A Mechanical Engineer is needed for a manufacturing company considered one of the world's leading innovators in materials science in the Hemlock, MI area. The Mechanical Engineer will be a hands‑on expert with debugging and troubleshooting equipment in a Solar wafer manufacturing plant during rapid start‑up and commissioning, requiring strong analytical, problem‑solving, and collaboration skills.

Education:
Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering
Responsibilities
Hands‑on mechanical engineering focused on troubleshooting, installation, and debugging equipment.
Primarily responsible for equipment installation and start‑up, not design.
Identify and implement solutions to equipment issues during start‑up and commissioning in a Solar wafer manufacturing plant.
Collaborate with diverse teams including electrical, controls, facilities, and operations.
Skills
Effective technical leadership, organization, and planning skills.
Creative/innovative problem solving and experience completing projects in a manufacturing environment.
Excellent analytical skills and data‑driven decision making.
Self‑starter, team player, capable of motivating others.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
Ability to multitask and work with diverse teams.
Demonstrated technical expertise in equipment installation, debugging, start‑up, and troubleshooting.
Mandarin speaking is a plus.
Education and Experience
BS in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 2+ years of experience, 5+ years preferred.
Qualifications
Experience level: Experienced
