AUTO MECHANIC - CANNON MOUNTAIN Position #44090 Pay: $19.96/hour - $26.41/hour

Summary Schedules and performs skilled mechanical work in order to maintain and repair automotive and related mechanical equipment used at northern location parks in accordance with all applicable safety standards.
Responsibilities
Maintains and repairs automobiles, trucks, tractors, snowmobiles, all‑terrain vehicles, chainsaws, lawnmowers, and other mechanical equipment.
Conducts complete unit replacement of engines, transmissions, differentials, power dividers and all related components of mechanical equipment necessary to operate Cannon Mountain/Franconia Notch State Park.
Performs welding of all types in repair and fabrication of new systems and units using proper personal protective equipment (PPEs) and in accordance with all safety standards.
Organizes, cleans, and maintains work area; orders parts, organizes storage and parts rooms and cleans area for safety.
Keeps all records of work done on vehicles and records parts used and ordered.
Performs vehicle state inspections and makes all necessary repairs to meet inspection standards.
Establishes programs for preventative maintenance for motorized equipment and performs duties to adhere to planned schedule.
Uses computerized test equipment to identify and diagnose electrical and mechanical malfunctions.
Operates all types of mountain equipment as needed in order to move equipment from location to location to make repairs and to verify that the repairs were effective.
YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
Equivalent combination of 3 years of education and experience after completion of high school.
License/Certification:
Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must possess New Hampshire Motor Vehicle inspection certification or obtain within 90 days of hire.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires medium to heavy work, including continuous physical exertion such as frequent bending, lifting, or climbing. Requires fine manual dexterity and/or coordination in operating machines or equipment.
