APEL Extrusions, Inc. is an independent extruder, finisher and fabricator of aluminum extrusions, with six extrusion presses and a full array of finishing capabilities occupying over 600,000 square feet of modern manufacturing space employing approximately 300 people. With facilities in Calgary Canada, Coburg Oregon, and Phoenix Arizona, APEL serves the commercial, residential, and industrial markets of Western Canada and the Western United States. Job Summary

Reporting directly to the HR Manager, the HR Generalist maintains HRM data and employee files, addresses employee inquiries, and assists with the hiring process and performance management. The HR Generalist must be discreet and maintain confidentiality, with the ability to be a neutral third party. The ideal candidate will hold value in data and systems accuracy. Benefits

Strong initiative, ability to anticipate issues proactively. Critical thinker, active listener, and effective time manager. Reliable and responsible. Job Duties/Responsibilities

Listen to employee questions, complaints, and feedback, and seek solutions. Assist with new hire paperwork and employee onboarding procedures. Assist managers with recruitment by posting positions, updating headcount charts, and contacting staffing agencies. Work with managers and the accounting department to support biweekly payroll. Prepare & maintain required documentation for employee personnel records performance reviews, new hires, terminations, pay changes, and disciplinary actions. Complete transactional tasks in the HRMS (Paycor) and other systems. Administrative support with Workers Compensation, OSHA reporting, and various plant vendors. Prepare internal employee communications & assist with policy development as needed. Provide backup HR support across APEL as needed. Perform special projects and other duties as assigned. Associate's Degree Preferred - Bachelor's Degree At least 2 years of HR or related experience. Contact
