Position Summary: On-call Phlebotomist position available at our Medical Clinic in Aberdeen.
The Phlebotomist will perform venipuncture and follow patient care procedures. Responsibilities include performing phlebotomy, waived tests, Automated CBCs, EKGs, Spirometry, and assisting in diagnostics and treatment. Maintain lab reports, logs, process specimens for outside referrals, and manage inventory. Ensure all tasks are performed safely and in compliance with Sea Mar’s health, safety, and infection control policies. Assist Medical Laboratory Technicians or Medical Technologists as needed.
Qualifications and/or Education:
Active Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist (MA-P) certification from the Washington State Department of Health required.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Exceptional customer service and blood drawing skills.
Foreign applicants must have US equivalency for their education; international education credentials must be recognized or accredited in the US.
Graduated from a recognized US Phlebotomy School Program or verified foreign program.
Must pass a pre-hire competency test.
Ability to communicate in English and Spanish is desirable.
