Cardiovascular Sonographer, Advanced Imaging
at a well-known prestigious facility in San Diego. This is a unique opportunity for a skilled sonographer to utilize cutting-edge imaging technology to provide comprehensive assessments of cardiac structure and function. In this advanced role, you will perform complex echocardiographic procedures, including 3D imaging and strain imaging, while collaborating closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of patient care. Your expertise in advanced imaging techniques will be pivotal in enhancing diagnostic accuracy and treatment planning for patients with cardiovascular conditions. Perform advanced echocardiographic studies, including 3D echo and cardiac strain analysis, to assess cardiac performance. Prepare and educate patients on procedures, ensuring a comfortable and calming environment. Utilize advanced imaging technology to obtain high-quality cardiac images for analysis. Interpret and analyze complex echocardiographic data, providing detailed reports for physician evaluation. Collaborate with the cardiology team to develop effective diagnostic and treatment strategies. Maintain equipment and adhere to all safety protocols while ensuring compliance with AHA and healthcare standards. Minimum Requirements
Minimum 3 years of full-time experience in adult echocardiography, including stress echo and TEE procedures. Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or equivalent certification in cardiac sonography is required. Experience with advanced echocardiographic techniques and devices. Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology. Excellent patient interaction skills with a compassionate approach to care. U.S. Citizenship is required. Certifications (Required)
BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required (AHA-approved) ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required (AHA-approved) RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) or RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) – Required Certifying bodies acceptable: ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) or CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) Education: Preferred but not required: Graduate of an accredited Echocardiography or Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
