Job Summary The Radiologic Technologist (CRT) performs diagnostic x‑rays and supports patient care as directed by physicians. The role includes technical, administrative, and educational responsibilities in a fast‑paced diagnostic imaging department.
Key Responsibilities
Demonstrate clinical proficiency and technical skills as a CRT.
Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures, positioning patients and adjusting equipment for optimal views.
Apply technique charts and independent judgment to support radiological orders.
Maintain professional relationships across departments and understand patient flow and insurance concepts.
Collect, store, and retrieve studies from PACS and support quality assurance.
Adhere to infection control and sterilization procedures; maintain instrument logs.
Provide patient education and assist with new staff orientation.
Assist clinicians during examinations and minor surgeries when required.
Qualifications Education:
High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Experience:
1 year as an X‑ray Technician preferred.
Licenses & Certifications:
Imaging CA Radiologic Technologist
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Basic Life Support (BLS) (valid for 60 days from the start date)
Certification from a Board‑Approved Medical Assistant Organization (preferred)
Compensation & Benefits Base Pay: $34.69 - $53.77 per hour.
Sign‑On Bonus: $5,000.
Other Benefits: Health & dental insurance, paid vacation, 403(b) retirement plan, and other standard hospital benefits.
