We are seeking an experienced Surgery - Cardiovascular & Thoracic Nurse Practitioner for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Nevada. This opportunity starts on Nov 3, 2025, and features Monday through Friday day shifts, 8 to 10 hours per shift, with the option for a 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off schedule. Candidates must hold a current NV license and possess strong first assist skills in CT or CVT surgery. Vein harvesting experience is a bonus but not required.

Provider Type Needed: Surgery - Cardiovascular & Thoracic Nurse Practitioner

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 to 10 hour shifts starting at 6 a.m.; open to 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off; possible OR call

Responsibilities and Duties

Provide first assist support in cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures

Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Participate in vein harvesting if qualified

Adhere to established protocols and safety standards

Respond to intraoperative and perioperative patient needs as assigned

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Participate in operating room call as needed (no floor or office call)

Additional Information

Must have an active NV Nurse Practitioner license

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required

Ideally at least 1 year of experience with first assist CT or CVT surgery

Quick credentialing available for clean files
