We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Overland Park, Kansas. Responsibilities
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate financial operations.
Create and maintain purchase orders, with training provided if necessary.
Match invoices to purchase orders and ensure proper documentation for all transactions.
Perform data entry tasks related to financial records and maintain organized documentation.
Assist in financial reconciliations and gradually take on more advanced responsibilities.
Collaborate with team members to ensure adherence to financial procedures and deadlines.
Support the preparation of financial reports and other relevant documentation.
Communicate with vendors and clients to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth transactions.
Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in handling financial data.
Adapt to evolving responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.
Requirements
Proficiency in QuickBooks for managing financial transactions and records.
Experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
Familiarity with creating and managing purchase orders, with a willingness to learn if needed.
Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to match invoices to purchase orders and resolve discrepancies.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Effective communication abilities, particularly when working with vendors and team members.
Prior experience in the construction industry is a plus but not required.
