Coordinator for Fraternity and Sorority Life
Raleigh, NC • $40,000 - $46,000 • Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm; evening and weekend work may be required to cover events.
Responsibilities
Live-in support for Greek Village Apartments or Townhomes; serve as communication link between Fraternity and Sorority Life, House Corporation, Primary Advisor and residents on day-to-day facility matters.
Primary onsite contact during the work day for resident and facility concerns; enforce Code of Student Conduct and Community Standards; monitor resident and organization compliance with lease, memorandum of agreement and room agreements.
Participate in on-call rotation providing emergency response and follow up to Greek Village housing; counsel students and respond to crises; make referrals to Student Health, Counseling Services and Ombuds services.
Coordinate and direct opening and closing of assigned facilities; facilitate health and safety room inspections each semester; provide leadership for front desk coverage, key inventory and mail service for residents.
Under direction of Associate Director of Chapter Services, coordinate chapter officer trainings covering Membership Procedures, Standards Program Requirements, Advisor Meetings and Chapter President Roundtables; meet regularly with chapter officers to develop and pursue chapter goals, membership growth and development.
Assist chapter recruitment/intake chairs to provide advisory support for chapter outreach, recruitment, retention and overall best practices in membership development while monitoring compliance with applicable policy.
Serve as part of the advisory team to the Order of Omega Honors Society; coordinate AOD and Risk Mitigation strategies; arrange program logistics for Chapter Services programs, including Greek Leaders Retreat, Greek Awards, Expansion/Extension efforts.
Monitor chapter submission of new member verification forms and completion of new member FERPA waivers; manage year round submission of materials and compile annual organization reports and community statistics outlining Standards Program outcomes; prepare annual budget requests and end of year documentation.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or post-baccalaureate credentials; advanced degree on an exceptional basis.
Google Suite, Microsoft Office, excellent communication, critical thinking, problem solving, program coordination.
Valid driver’s license required; NC driver’s license within 60 days of hire.
Master’s with one year experience in fraternity/sorority life or housing preferred.
