Job Description Paraplanner/Trader (RIA)

Fort Worth, TX (on-site)

Salary range: $85k-$105k doe, plus bonus

Our client is a thriving Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) firm that is managing $3.5 billion in assets and growing rapidly. The company seeks an experienced, detail-oriented and highly motivated Lead Trader/Paraplanner to support its advisory team in delivering exceptional financial planning and investment management services.

Position Overview The Lead Trader/Paraplanner will play a key role in trading, investment implementation, financial plan preparation, and day-to-day client service. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of financial markets, and experience in portfolio construction, trading, and client service functions within a wealth management environment.

Key Responsibilities

Execute trades and manage model portfolios through Envestnet and Wealthscape.

Prepare, update, and maintain financial plans using eMoney Advisor.

Support advisors in developing investment and retirement planning strategies.

Assist with annuity, mutual fund, and managed account transactions.

Conduct portfolio reviews, performance tracking, and rebalancing.

Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with firm procedures.

Prepare meeting materials, reports, and follow-up documentation.

Coordinate with custodians and product partners to ensure smooth account operations.

Contribute to the development of efficient processes and best practices for the firm’s trading and planning systems.

Qualifications

FINRA Series 7 and 66 required (or ability to obtain promptly).

Ability to obtain Texas Life and Health Insurance License within 90 days of hire.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field preferred.

13 years of experience in a registered investment advisory or brokerage environment.

Proficiency with Envestnet, Wealthscape, and eMoney Advisor platforms required.

Working knowledge of annuities, mutual funds, and portfolio management principles.

Strong analytical and organizational skills with a high attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
