What You Will Do:
The role will own Engineering transformation initiatives across the entire PDC including leading CORE activities, driving projects to improve Control Tower metrics, and the onboarding of new programs into the PDC. The PDC currently supports the F135, F100, V2500-A5 / E5, PW4000 94”, PW1100G-JM NEO, various APU models, PW800, MRO and will be bringing new programs into production such as the GTFA, PW1900, and others. Execution of these projects to drive process control will dramatically improve the company’s quality and delivery signature. This is a 1st shift “on-site” role.
Responsibilities
Lead projects critical to improve assembly & test operational capability & quality performance to reduce turnbacks/rework time/scrap and associated COPQ cost
Identify & implement process optimization & control methods to eliminate/prevent quality turn backs / escapes and reduce overall product cost; work with Quality Engineers to perform root cause / corrective action investigations on quality escapes / turn backs; drive targeted process optimization activities through CORE tools such as CI Days, CORE Leadership Weeks, and Macro Plan actions
Lead the creation or modification of process procedures with the goal to optimize them to meet the latest business needs. Support the release of work instructions as applicable to relevant qualifications held
Work with PDC leadership across multiple disciplines to optimize project execution and ensure alignment across teams; support the project pipeline process to select, prioritize and scope projects to meet PDC business objectives
Schedule and facilitate periodic project reviews with participation from key stakeholders; utilize project management tools such as GitHub or Microsoft Projects to track project schedules
Represent engineering at PDC Monthly/Quarterly CABs (Corrective Action Board) and Collins Operational Excellence meeting
Partner with Engineering Product Leads to maintain excellent work relationships with MTU Munich/Hanover and PW Canada (PWC) assembly and test personnel and other Military Sustainment / Commercial Aftermarket teams
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and 10 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management, project management, quality or related industrial environment OR Master’s degree and 7 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management, project management, quality or related industrial environment
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Experience identifying technological solutions to resolve business challenges
Understanding of continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma and LEAN
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

Qualifications We Prefer
Engineering degree (manufacturing/mechanical)
Github or Microsoft Projects proficiency
Process Engineering Planner / EQE qualification
Six Sigma Black or Green Belt / PMP Certifications / Agile Methodology
Familiarity with gas-turbine engine construction and operation
Familiarity with instrumentation for vibration, temperature, force, pressure, and flow measurements
Familiarity with statistical process control

Salary range: $124,000 – $250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
