Position Title:
HR Specialist - Contract Wage:
$25.00 - $32.00/hour We are seeking a detail-oriented HR Specialist to join our client's HR team on a temporary basis for 6-12 weeks to support daily HR operations and ensure a smooth employee experience. This role is ideal for an HR professional who can step in quickly, manage multiple priorities, and help maintain consistent HR processes during a busy period. This temporary position offers an opportunity to make an immediate impact within a collaborative HR team. You'll gain valuable experience supporting a range of HR functions while helping to strengthen employee engagement and operational efficiency. This is a fully onsite role with a Buffalo Grove, IL manufacturer with a pay rate of $25-32/hr. HR Specialist Responsibilities:
Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures Support full-cycle recruitment efforts including job postings, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and coordinating background checks Oversee onboarding and offboarding activities to ensure a professional and efficient experience Maintain employee records and data accuracy within the HRIS system Assist with payroll processing using ADP Assist with employee relations documentation and help ensure timely resolution of concerns Support benefits administration and open enrollment activities as needed Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal company policies Generate and maintain HR reports related to headcount, turnover, and other key metrics Contribute to HR projects and initiatives in areas such as engagement, training, and process improvement Requirements for HR Specialist:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred 2+ years of HR experience desired. Manufacturing industry experience a plus Working knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and compliance requirements Payroll experience preferred Experience using HRIS systems (e.g., ADP, UKG, Workday) preferred Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality PHR or SHRM-CP certification and/or bilingual in Spanish and English a plus If interested in this contract HR Specialist contract role, please apply now.
