ESSENTIAL FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assures and participates in all plant safety/accident prevention policies. This includes maintaining a safe work environment and following safe work practices.

Performs and assists with monthly mold PMs.

Inspects and changes water lines on mold and robot as needed.

Pulls mold plates and changes out damaged tools (cores, cavities, splits, take‑out tubes, etc.) in the mold.

Pulls hot‑runner plates and changes out nozzle tips, seals, or replaces seals as required.

Changes or adds pre‑mixers to the feed throat of Husky and pumps on color carts.

Works on inventory of mold parts.

Conducts weekly mold PMs.

Starts up after mold changes and color changes.

Performs color or additive changes as requested.

Assists maintenance technicians as needed.

Works with quality on flash issues and resets splits.

Sets up and works on part detection eyes on molds as needed.

Performs weekly mold cleaning using dry‑ice machine and preferred methods.

Backups to Machine Operators and Material Handlers.

Trains current and new members of the department to perform job‑related tasks as needed.

Conducts quality checks utilizing visual methods as well as quality control equipment as needed.

Performs GMP auditing/training.

Assists with cleaning duties and rework activities as required.

Maintains housekeeping of work areas.

Performs all other tasks as directed by the shift.

Leads or supervises; learns new on‑the‑job skills as training opportunities become available.

High School diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

A valid forklift certification, which meets OSHA requirements, is required to perform the essential duties of this job.
