Behavioral Health Medical Assistant (Remote)
Join us as a behavioral health medical assistant to support our telemedicine psychiatric providers. You will coordinate virtual patient visits, manage records, and ensure each patient receives a smooth and high‑quality telehealth experience.
Position Summary In this role you will support our telemedicine psychiatric providers, coordinating virtual visits, maintaining accurate records and ensuring patients receive the care they need.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare patients for virtual appointments by confirming demographics, medications, and visit details.
Obtain and document patient health information, including behavioral health screening tools.
Conduct safety assessments for suicidality and crisis intervention as needed.
Support psychiatric providers during telehealth visits with documentation and coordination.
Accurately maintain patient records and manage workflows within eClinicalWorks (eCW).
Assist with medication refills, lab orders, prior authorizations, and pharmacy communication.
Coordinate follow‑up appointments, conduct appointment reminders, referrals, and care coordination.
Manage a cancellation list to ensure provider’s schedules are full.
Provide patient education and ensure timely communication regarding care plans.
Accept incoming calls and respond to text messages from our main line.
Qualifications
Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) required.
1+ year of experience in behavioral health, telemedicine, or outpatient primary care preferred.
Proficient in eClinicalWorks (eCW) EMR system preferred.
Strong communication, empathy, and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and work independently in a remote environment.
