Job Description - Health Unit Coordinator Emergency Department Nights (25038344) Position: Health Unit Coordinator, Emergency Department Nights Location: AdventHealth Riverview, 9208 S. US HWY 301, Riverview, FL 33578 Schedule: Full Time Shift: Days Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, perform general non-clinical duties and specific services necessary to expedite the efficient functioning of the nursing unit, consistent with the philosophy, goals, policies and procedures of the nursing department and hospital administration. Adhere to the Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan and to all applicable local, state and federal rules, regulations and accrediting bodies. Actively participate in outstanding customer service and maintain respectful relationships with all staff and patients. Identify, prioritize and transcribe physician orders by completing the patient Kardex, proper care map, and making out necessary requisitions. Notify and coordinate with other departments or physicians when necessary and place appropriate information on the chart, chart forms, computer and electronic records. Access the medication room to place medications in a secure area upon arrival to the floor. Perform indirect patient care duties related to admission, transfer and discharge. Post pertinent patient data in a timely manner. About AdventHealth Riverview

The facility will include 82 beds at opening with room to expand to 202 beds in the future, plus a 100,000 square foot Medical Office Building to provide convenient access to care. Qualifications
Completion of Health Unit Coordinator Course 1+ year of work experience Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
