Phlebotomist III Float — Bradenton, FL Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist III Float to serve patient service centers, doctor’s offices, and other locations as part of a dynamic, varied float role. The position involves drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and providing coaching to new staff. Working Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM with rotational weekends, the role offers a robust rewards package and opportunities for growth.

Pay Range Hourly rate: $21.26 + per hour. Additional compensation may include annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities

Cover assigned territory across patient service center(s) and doctor’s office(s) as business needs dictate.

Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing.

Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.

Enter billing information and collect payment when required.

Coach, mentor, instruct, and serve as a resource advisor for new employees, and be point of contact to staff on site while providing regular input to the group lead or supervisor.

Travel to additional doctor’s office or patient service center sites when needed.

Qualifications Required Education

High school diploma or equivalent.

Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA).

Work Experience

Five years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

Minimum 3 years in a patient service center environment preferred.

Customer service experience in retail or service environment preferred.

Keyboard/data entry experience.

The position requires the ability to effectively communicate in English.
