Overview
Carlo's Bakery is seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our dedicated team. This role is essential to keeping our equipment operating at top performance so we can continue to deliver quality products our customers love. As part of our family, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing specialized bakery machinery to ensure our production runs smoothly and efficiently.
Equipment Expertise
Thermoforming Packaging Machines (Multi-Vak and ScandiVak)
Food Tools Machinery (Slicer/Slabbers)
Douglas Dishwashers
Cleveland Steam Kettles
Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair bakery-specific equipment to ensure seamless operation.
Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
Disassemble, clean, and reassemble bakery machines for repairs or upgrades.
Interpret mechanical and electrical schematics to resolve complex issues.
Collaborate with our production team to proactively address equipment needs and maintain efficiency.
Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts used.
Occasionally operate box trucks for parts delivery or equipment transport when needed.
Qualifications
Proven experience as an Equipment Mechanic with bakery machinery expertise.
Strong mechanical aptitude with deep understanding of troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing bakery machines.
Proficiency with electrical systems and ability to read schematics is a plus.
Excellent problem‑solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members and ensure seamless operations.
