What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Develop and maintain research budgets while monitoring expenses for compliance with policies
Serve as the primary research liaison between the school and other departments
Collaborate with Principal Investigators to support research proposal preparation and development
Prepare and analyze grant financial reports, budgets, and financial forecasts as directed
Stay current with industry trends and analytical techniques necessary for job functions
What is Required (Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or equivalent in a related field
At least 2 years of relevant work experience
Understanding of NIH and other federal agencies’ policies and procedures
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with individuals at all institutional levels
Strong organizational and planning skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of Pre/Post-award research work experience with an emphasis on pre-award
Working knowledge of Excel, including Pivot Tables
Progressive development of analytical and evaluative skills
Demonstrated ability to solve problems effectively
Experience in grant finance and management practices
