Responsibilities
Familiar with Life Saving Behaviors (LSB) and Company and Plant ISO, SQF, GMP, and Safety policies and procedures.
Manage all department employees: approve/deny vacation requests, verify time cards, monitor attendance, issue disciplinary actions, conduct accident investigations, assign daily work assignments.
Provide new employee instructions for your shift and supervise, oversee, and direct all techs, team leaders, and machine operators in their daily performance, productivity, quality, housekeeping, and safety.
Monitor production rate of skilled labor, oversee workflow, efficiency, and quality; track all parts manufactured for work orders; consistently evaluate/document personnel performance.
Accurate production reporting (WebEFF) and timekeeping (Kronos); conduct counseling, written warnings, suspensions, and discharges for violations of plant rules.
Collaborate with Human Resources on unique situations, termination paperwork, and training assignments for new associates during the 90‑day probationary period, recommending discharge or retention.
Direct work assignments, ensure efficient labor utilization, drive improvements in production efficiency and MEEF.
In case of injury, prepare accident reports, investigate thoroughly, interview witnesses, and ensure injured employees receive medical treatment.
Verify all hours worked by associates are accurate in the attendance system and confirm time cards.
Issue corrective action notifications for program areas failing to meet quality/delivery expectations.
Manage housekeeping of the entire production area, supervise production activities, resolve employee issues, and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Read, write, and understand English.
Proficient in spreadsheets and basic math (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication).
Analytical ability, ability to work as a cross‑functional team member, and self‑motivation to deliver results in a fast‑paced, performance‑driven environment.
High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
3+ years’ experience in a leadership position with proven ability to deliver desired results.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with ability to motivate employees.
Strong technical, business, and organizational skills; able to plan and organize daily activities, analyze data, and react to changes and challenges.
Knowledge of molding operations and company procedures.
Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
Good software skills (Word, Excel, CPRO, WebEFF, etc.).
