Controller – Retail Real Estate Development
Location: Palm Beach Gardens, FL

Position Overview As we continue to scale, ECP Partners seeks a Controller to lead accounting and financial operations. This hands‑on leadership role will evolve with the company, offering a meaningful foundation for future growth and increased responsibility.
Key Responsibilities Financial Leadership & Reporting
Oversee all accounting functions including general ledger, A/P, A/R, payroll, and financial close cycles.
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Manage company budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.
Establish and maintain strong internal controls and financial policies in line with GAAP.
Strategic Partnership & Growth Support
Partner with owners and CEO to advise on financial performance and operational efficiency.
Provide insights and financial analysis to support company growth.
Recommend process improvements, cost‑saving strategies, and revenue enhancement opportunities.
Lender & CPA Coordination
Serve as the primary liaison with banks and lenders.
Manage loan compliance, draw requests, and covenant tracking.
Coordinate with external CPA firms for tax filings and audits.
Maintain schedules and workpapers for tax and lender reporting.
Operational Efficiency & Development Support
Review project budgets, contracts, and construction draws.
Implement or upgrade systems to streamline accounting.
Collaborate with development and operations teams for accuracy.
Create, support, and maintain LLC creation for development projects.
Team Building
Build out an accounting team as the company grows.
Cross‑train with other departments to support a collaborative culture.
Qualifications
Demonstrates integrity, values teamwork, and is committed to delivering high‑quality work.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA a plus, not required).
5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in real estate.
Experience in construction accounting or multi‑unit restaurant, retail, or hospitality accounting will be considered.
Experience in financial reporting, lender interaction, or project accounting.
Proficient in QuickBooks and Excel.
Strong communicator, highly organized, and self‑starter.
