Our client, a major Belgian transportation company undergoing a full SAP S/4HANA transformation, is seeking an SAP Payroll / SuccessFactors Specialist to support the design, build, and rollout of a new HR and Payroll landscape.
The transformation program aims to modernize HR operations, digitize payroll processes, and integrate the new SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) platform within the broader S/4HANA ecosystem. This is a greenfield opportunity to shape the future of HR service delivery across Belgium and EMEA entities.
The role will focus on ensuring functional excellence in SAP Payroll and SuccessFactors, driving integration between HR, Finance, and Time systems, and securing compliance with Belgian legal and collective labour agreements.
Role Summary As the SAP Payroll / SuccessFactors Specialist, you will take ownership of end-to-end payroll process design, configuration, and testing within the S/4HANA transformation program. Working remotely with project teams and local stakeholders, you’ll serve as the subject matter expert bridging business requirements and SAP best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Lead configuration and functional support for SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) and related HR modules (EC, Time Off, Compensation).
Design and document end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring compliance with Belgian payroll legislation and union agreements.
Support system integration between Employee Central, S/4HANA Finance, and Time Management components.
Conduct UAT, parallel runs, and payroll validation cycles, ensuring readiness for go-live.
Manage payroll schemas, PCRs, and wage types, ensuring accuracy and alignment with statutory requirements.
Collaborate with technical and functional teams to troubleshoot payroll issues, monitor replication, and optimize data quality.
Advise on continuous improvement initiatives, automation opportunities, and SuccessFactors release adoption.
Support knowledge transfer and documentation for local HR and payroll teams.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of hands‑on experience in SAP Payroll (Belgium) and SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP).
Proven experience in S/4HANA or SuccessFactors transformation programs (greenfield or brownfield).
Strong understanding of Belgian payroll, tax, and social security regulations.
Experience with SAP CPI integrations, time management, and Finance posting (FI/CO) flows.
Functional knowledge of SAP HCM and SuccessFactors EC modules.
Excellent analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Fluent in English; Dutch or French highly advantageous.
Self‑driven and capable of working in a remote, cross‑functional environment.
