Employment Type: Contract/Onsite (Possibility of remote after 4 months)

Location: King of Prussia, PA 19406

Duration: 12+ months with possible extension or conversion

Pay range: $25/hr - $27/hr

Schedule: Mon – Fri

Job Description The Tier 1 HR Advisor handles calls, chats, and other communication methods for employee and manager inquiries regarding Hire to Retire processes and human resource policies. This role involves identifying customer needs, clarifying information, researching issues, and providing accurate and timely solutions. The advisor is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service to employees, managers, and internal teammates. The ideal candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet operational performance standards, goals, and metrics.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct day-to-day transactional processing in the designated HRIS and other related systems as required.

Handle a high volume of incoming calls, chats, and texts in a call‑center environment.

Adhere to HR Operations Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Evaluate and respond to employee and manager inquiries via phone, chat, or other methods, providing accurate and timely responses through the use of a knowledge base and desktop tools.

Listen to callers, understand the information, and convey an accurate solution.

Provide guidance to callers on how to use the company’s HR systems, such as the HRIS and time‑keeping systems.

Demonstrate professionalism at all times when dealing with others by communicating effectively, being responsive, and collaborating with colleagues.

Escalate complex issues to Tier 2 Service Center Specialists or the HR Service Center Manager as required.

Create and maintain detailed, complete, and accurate records of all interactions in the case‑management system.

Maintain privacy and confidentiality of information, protect the assets of employees and the company, report non‑compliance and adhere to all applicable federal and local laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures.

Provide callers with excellent, efficient, and courteous service.

Ensure case‑management notes are written professionally, are thorough, and accurately detail the problem and the proposed resolution.

Identify escalation trends to the HR Service Center Manager and opportunities for process improvement and/or new solutions.

Assist in identifying areas to improve communications and efficiency of operations and support the implementation of changes.

Build positive working relationships with colleagues, managers, and stakeholders.

Interact effectively with a diverse employee and manager population at all levels within the organization.

Minimum Required Qualifications

A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.

Strong organizational and time‑management skills.

Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Effectively communicate with all parties as required.

Written communication is clear and succinct in a variety of communication settings and styles.

Strong customer service skills, clear communication, and a client‑focused approach.

Process improvement mindset and a comprehensive understanding of cross‑functional processes.

Preferred / Nice to Have Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is preferred.

Relevant HR certification (e.g., IHRIM, SHRM) is a plus.

1‑2 years of experience in Human Resources, HR Operations, or a Call Center environment is preferred.

Knowledge of common HRIS platforms is desirable.

Knowledge of case‑management systems and HR Portal technology is helpful.

Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) is preferred.

Six Sigma Certification is a plus.
