Schedule Weekender 3x12's days Job Description Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologists are responsible for the use of radiofrequencies within a magnetic field for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes. MRI technologists perform magnetic resonance imaging and acquire and analyze data needed for diagnosis at the request and for interpretation by a licensed practitioner. They independently perform or assist the licensed practitioner in the completion of magnetic resonance imaging procedures, preparing, administering, and documenting all activities related to medications in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations. Responsibilities Ensure correct order and patient identification for exams, with corroborated and documented clinical history, while respecting confidentiality. Utilize appropriate imaging protocols and optimize technical factors for patient safety and care. Prepare and administer medications through vascular access as prescribed by a licensed practitioner. Evaluate images for proper positioning and technical quality, ensuring archival storage or transfer of data. Educate and monitor students and other healthcare providers. Apply principles of magnetic resonance safety to minimize risks to patients, self, and others. Assist licensed practitioners during magnetic resonance interventional procedures. Select appropriate pulse sequences while considering established protocols and influencing factors. Participate in modality quality or process improvement activities. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and (ARRT)-MR or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT). Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) and ARRT-MR. Basic Life Support Certification.
