Travel Job Title: Registered Nurse – Operating Room (RN-OR) Facility: Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center Location: Washington, DC 20032 Shift: 10-hour Day Shift (0700–1730), 40 hours/week Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Key Responsibilities: Perform scrub and/or circulating duties during surgical procedures. Prepare the operating room for surgeries, including assembling equipment, ensuring functionality, and confirming availability of supplies/implants. Adhere to aseptic techniques and departmental standards. Collaborate with the surgical team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative patient care plans. Assist with patient admissions to the operative suite. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the surgical team regarding care plans and procedures. Participate in on-call rotations, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Qualifications: Required:
Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program. Highly Desired:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Certifications:
PALS, BLS, and ACLS required. Experience:
Minimum 2 years of acute care OR experience. Licensure:
Current RN license in the state/district of practice.
