Medical Surgical Stepdown Unit (Acute Care Hospital)

Travel Nursing

Contract Duration:

13 weeks

Shift:

Night shifts, 3x12-hour (18:45 - 07:15)

Weekend Requirement:

Every other weekend

Float Requirement:

May float to similar units within scope

Charting System:

Epic

Registered Nurse Qualifications Active South Carolina RN license or Compact nursing license (required prior to start)

Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiac Stepdown or acute care RN experience (2 years preferred)

Epic charting experience (required)

Tele competency and Cardiac Telemetry experience (required)

Previous charge nurse and community hospital experience (preferred)

Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the Cardiac Stepdown unit

Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmias

Perform central and peripheral line care, chest tube management, and wound care

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, and Pharmacy

Float to similar units as needed to support hospital staffing needs

Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the Epic electronic health record system

Follow infection control and isolation precautions

Participate in emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November)
