Labor & Delivery RN Job Details

Location:

Boise, Idaho 83712 (Idaho nursing jobs)

Healthcare Setting:

Acute Care – Labor & Delivery (LDRP)

Assignment Length:

13 weeks (10/25/2025 – 1/24/2026)

Shift:

12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:00am), weekends as needed, first to float

Guaranteed Hours:

36 hours per week

Scrubs Provided Charting System:

Epic EMR

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Registered Nurse)

BSN required

Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience

Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), STABLE, AWHONN Fetal Monitoring

Experience in LDR, circulating in the OR, and titrating drips (Pitocin, Insulin)

Ability to float to other units and local healthcare facilities as needed

L&D RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive care to laboring and postpartum patients in a high-volume Labor & Delivery unit (16 L&D beds, 13 Antepartum beds, 32 Mother Baby beds)

Circulate in the OR for C-sections (3 OR suites on unit)

Perform initial neonatal resuscitation until NICU team arrives

Titrate and monitor Pitocin and Insulin drips

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including OB Laborists, Neonatologists, CRNAs, and CSTs

Float to Antepartum, Mother Baby, and other Boise-area hospitals as needed

Document patient care using Epic EMR

Participate in unit orientation (1 shift in each area: LD, Antepartum, LD OR)
