About the Role

The OCM team is a critical part of the TPM organization, leading complex, cross‑functional technology programs across Gap Inc. The OCM Director leads enterprise change efforts within Global Technology Solutions, driving adoption, readiness, and sustainability for process changes, technology rollouts, and organizational shifts. This role requires deep partnership across Product Management, Engineering, Data & Analytics, TPM, TechOps, InfoSec, and Strategy & Governance, as well as collaboration with Corporate Communications and external partners.

What You’ll Do

Lead the development and execution of enterprise‑level change management strategy for the GTS programs, setting the vision for stakeholder engagement and ensuring alignment with business goals and transformation outcomes.

Own and deliver critical change management workstreams, including stakeholder assessments, impact analyses, governance models, and integrated change plans covering communication, leadership coaching, training, resistance management, and success metrics to drive adoption.

Influence senior leaders and program sponsors, acting as a strategic advisor and internal change consultant.

Partner closely with GTS TPMs and external Managed Services Provider(s) to integrate change activities across workstreams and support a smooth transition to the new GTS operating model.

Drive the GTS communications strategy in partnership with Corporate Communications, ensuring clear, targeted messaging aligned to the transformation narrative.

Build and maintain strong executive and cross‑functional relationships, securing alignment and resources, and providing timely visibility of change progress and risks to senior leadership.

Lead, mentor, and empower a virtual network of change agents, fostering collaboration and a culture of shared ownership.

Anticipate risks, identify adoption roadblocks, and develop forward‑thinking mitigation strategies to accelerate readiness and execution.

Shape the future of the change function by collaborating with the broader OCM team to evolve tools, methodologies, and best practices.

Who You Are

Extensive experience in organizational change management, with a proven track record of leading complex, enterprise‑level change initiatives—especially technology transformation and process redesign.

10+ years of progressive experience owning the full change strategy, planning, and execution lifecycle for large‑scale programs.

Deep understanding of change management principles, methodologies (e.g., ADKAR, Prosci), and tools, and ability to tailor approaches.

Skilled in stakeholder analysis and engagement, navigating cross‑functional stakeholders and end users across regions and cultures.

Hands‑on experience designing and executing global communications and training strategies, preferably within technology organizations and managed services provider transitions.

Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, crafting clear, compelling messages for audiences ranging from individual contributors to executive leadership.

Strong strategic thinking and problem‑solving ability, anticipating challenges and developing mitigation strategies.

Proven ability to build relationships and influence without direct authority in fast‑paced, matrixed environments.

Empathetic understanding of people experiencing change, applying insights to create human‑centered plans that drive engagement and reduce resistance.

Executive presence and communication fluency, confidently delivering presentations and facilitation.

Salary Range

$175,100 – $232,000 USD
