Responsibilities Work in an acute care hospital setting within the CT department Adult patient population, including emergency department cases Five 8-hour shifts per week with varying hours: three shifts from 3:00pm to 11:30pm, and two shifts from 11:00pm to 7:30am (Sunday–Monday) Rotating schedule with every other weekend required No on-call or floating responsibilities Procedures include abdomen, chest, and head CT scans (with and without contrast), vascular chest (e.g., PE, CTA, aorta), multiplanar reconstructions, aspirations, biopsies, brain perfusion, colonography, CT arthrography, drainage, myelography, and musculoskeletal/trauma scans Experience with Siemens CT equipment required Responsible for conducting a range of advanced CT imaging procedures including contrast and non-contrast studies and interventions Pre-employment modules required prior to start; hours for modules are limited Return staff eligibility reviewed on a case-by-case basis Required testing for staff working in ED and other acute care units Candidates may be considered if this is their first travel position Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers All requested time off must be submitted up front Requirements Current BLS certification required ARRT CT certification required Valid CA Radiologic Technologist license required if applicable Minimum of 2 years recent CT experience required Experience with adult acute care and emergency department CT imaging Proficiency with Siemens CT systems Experience performing IV starts and advanced procedures including biopsies, aspirations, brain perfusion, and trauma imaging References from supervisors within the past 2 years required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-634032.
