Part-Time Union Janitor

Caravan Facilities Management, LLC invites applications for the Part-Time Union Janitor position. This role maintains a clean, safe, and organized environment within a manufacturing facility, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and supporting operational efficiency and employee well‑being.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a unionized workplace.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards.
• Basic knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment operation and maintenance.
• Certification in hazardous materials handling or related safety training.
• Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal in manufacturing and office areas.
• Sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other communal spaces to maintain health and safety standards.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
• Collaborate with union representatives and management to ensure compliance with union agreements and workplace policies.

Skills & Requirements

The role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely within union guidelines. Knowledge of OSHA regulations, equipment maintenance, and effective communication enhance performance.
