Overview

Knowledge Road is looking for a full-time LCSW to become part of our team and deliver essential psychological services to students in NYC Department of Education (DOE) schools. With an unprecedented need for mental health support in schools and a substantial shortage of qualified professionals, your expertise is urgently required to assist students navigate complex emotional and behavioral challenges. As an LCSW with Knowledge Road, you will enjoy the autonomy to provide individualized interventions, partnering collaboratively with school teams and families to advance student mental health and academic achievement.
Responsibilities
Deliver direct, high‑quality individual and group counseling services to students, as required by their Individualized Education Service Programs/Individualized Education Programs (IESP/IEP).
Address a comprehensive range of social, emotional, and behavioral concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, and complex psychological conditions.
Perform psychological assessments and evaluations to inform treatment planning and educational recommendations.
Design and implement evidence‑based treatment plans utilizing various therapeutic modalities tailored to the unique developmental and cultural needs of each student.
Partner closely with parents, teachers, school administrators, and other mental health professionals to build a holistic and supportive learning environment.
Keep meticulous and timely documentation of all services, progress, and outcomes in alignment with DOE regulations, HIPAA requirements, and Knowledge Road standards.
Take an active role in IESP/IEP meetings, contributing expert psychological insights and recommendations to support student progress and educational planning.
Qualifications
NYS license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
Master's degree in Social Work from a CSWE‑accredited program.
Minimum of 2 years of experience providing psychological services to children and adolescents.
Competence with electronic documentation systems and teletherapy platforms.
NYC DOE fingerprinting and vendor status required or willingness to complete prior to start.
Preferred
Experience in a school‑based setting or educational environment.
Specialized training in child and adolescent therapy modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, play therapy, family therapy).
Experience with psychological assessment and testing.
Current Openings We are currently hiring for the following full‑time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) openings in Brooklyn.
Schedule & Location This is a full‑time, school‑day position with a schedule that aligns with the NYC DOE calendar. You will provide services on‑site at one or more schools in Brooklyn, with assignments determined by student needs. Hours per week are based on IESP/IEP mandates; caseload may fluctuate by assignment. Typically ~20‑30 hours/week depending on placements.
Compensation $65/hr (1099)
