Technical Writer
with hands‑on expertise in
MadCap Flare
to develop, organize, and maintain high‑quality technical documentation. The ideal candidate will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and QA teams to create clear, concise, and user‑friendly content for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Key Responsibilities
Create and maintain user guides, installation manuals, API documentation, online help systems, and release notes using
MadCap Flare
.
Design and manage documentation templates, style guides, and topic‑based content structures.
Collaborate closely with SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) to gather technical details and translate them into accurate, readable documentation.
Manage documentation projects through all phases – planning, writing, editing, publishing, and version control.
Ensure consistency in tone, terminology, and structure across all deliverables.
Convert complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and engaging content for target audiences.
Utilize tools such as
Git / SVN
,
Markdown
,
HTML/CSS
, or
XML
to manage and publish documentation.
Conduct peer reviews and maintain documentation quality standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of professional experience as a
Technical Writer
, preferably in a software or IT environment.
Proven experience using
MadCap Flare
for authoring and publishing documentation.
Strong understanding of single‑sourcing, topic‑based authoring, and responsive HTML5 output.
Proficiency with
HTML
,
CSS
, and
XML‑based
documentation workflows.
Familiarity with
version control systems
(e.g., Git, Bitbucket, or SVN).
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience documenting APIs, SDKs, or developer tools.
Exposure to
DITA
,
Confluence
,
Jira
, or other documentation and collaboration tools.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments.
Knowledge of
graphic tools
