*Overview*
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Orthodontist to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional patient care while utilizing the latest orthodontic techniques and technologies. This role involves working closely with patients to assess their needs, develop treatment plans, and deliver high-quality orthodontic services in a supportive environment.
*Responsibilities*
* Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine orthodontic needs and treatment options.
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, including the use of braces, aligners, and other orthodontic appliances.
* Perform various orthodontic procedures, including dental extractions, root canal therapy, and prosthodontics as needed.
* Collaborate with dental assistants and other staff members to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
* Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
* Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment procedures, and post-treatment care.
* Stay current with advancements in orthodontics through continuous education and training.
* Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques during all procedures.
*Qualifications*
* Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
* Completion of an accredited orthodontic residency program.
* Proficiency in dental software systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is preferred.
* Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices.
* Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus; familiarity with four-handed dentistry is advantageous.
* Excellent patient care skills with a focus on patient assessment and communication.
* Ability to perform oral surgery procedures when necessary.
