ASC Engineered Solutions are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented

Demand Planner

to join our Supply Chain team. The Demand Planner will be responsible for forecasting customer demand, optimizing inventory levels, and supporting sales, inventory, and operations planning (SIOP) within the

pipe, valve, and fittings (PVF)

industry. This role requires a strong understanding of industrial distribution, market trends, and supply chain dynamics to ensure product availability, minimize stockouts, and reduce excess inventory. Department:

$85,000 - $108,000 / year What You Will Do

Ownership and responsibility for a key set of accounts. Requires close collaboration with customers. Coordinate planning activities for large projects and ensure successful outcomes. Own the SIOP process by providing guidance on customer needs (from key accounts), large projects, and overall channel intelligence from Commercial partners. Develop, maintain, and update demand forecasts using historical sales, market trends, and customer insights. Analyze demand patterns and variances to support decision-making in procurement, inventory, and sales planning. Collaborate with Commercial, Procurement, Operations, and Finance to align forecasts with strategic objectives. Establish and monitor inventory targets to balance product availability with cost efficiency. Partner with the Supply Planning team to ensure lead-time reliability and mitigate supply risks. Maintain accurate data in ERP and forecasting systems to support planning and reporting. Track and report KPIs such as forecast accuracy, service levels, inventory turns, and fill rates. Identify and escalate risks related to demand variability, project-driven requirements, and market changes. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to forecasting and inventory management. What You Will Bring

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Distribution, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management; PVF or industrial distribution industry experience strongly preferred. Experience with ERP systems and forecasting software required. Competencies

Demonstrated collaboration directly with customers in a demand planning capacity. Project management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and the ability to translate data insights into actionable supply chain strategies. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Power BI or other data visualization tools. Working knowledge of supply chain principles, inventory management, and procurement processes. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines. Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset and a commitment to cross-functional partnerships. Self-motivated with the ability to independently manage multiple priorities and drive results under pressure. Preferred Qualifications

Hands-on experience with Blue Yonder (JDA) demand planning solutions. APICS CSCP, CPIM, or other supply chain certifications.
