BGS Global Engineering and Operations Production Engineering Organization is seeking a Senior or Mid‑Level Manufacturing Engineer to support the military aircraft Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) in Jacksonville, Florida. This position is in a Manufacturing environment on military aircraft and components. In the role you will plan and contribute to department and organization processes for developing, implementing and maintaining various manufacturing installation plans, bill of materials, work instructions and illustrations to define and document as‑built configuration in an installation/assembly environment.
Position Responsibilities
Develops, implements and maintains various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions and illustrations to define and document as‑built configuration
Develops manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives
Develops and integrates suppliers, processes, materials, data and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements
Reviews and approves supplier data to ensure manufacturing related requirements are met
Develops tooling requirements based on manufacturing and engineering requirements
Manages tools from initial design to end of use disposition. Investigates and resolves manufacturing related issues
Performs producibility assessments for part or product designs
Provides producibility input to design, manufacturing processes and manufacturing technologies to meet cost and schedules
Develops integrated work statements and sequencing events to support delivery commitments
Drafts, updates and reviews processes and procedures to support business and regulatory agency requirements
Leads projects, tracks progress to plan, and reports status to leadership
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
Bachelor of Science degree in an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or aerospace engineering environment
5+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering Planning systems such as Product Data
Experience with following the Engineering Bills of Material (BOMs) Configuration Management Process.
Experience with SAP, GOLDesp, MESci, or Computer Aided Process Planning (CAPP)
Ability to ascend and descend aircraft entry stairs
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
9+ years of experience in a manufacturing or aerospace engineering environment
9+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering Planning systems such as Product Data
Active Security Clearance
Prior Manufacturing Engineering experience
9+ years of experience involving direct planning or installation activity associated with assembly or manufacturing
Strong communication skills and ability to work in dynamic development environment
Ability to work independently within a team environment
Location and Onsite This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
