About the Position
The position would be working for HKA at the COLUMBUS, OH facility.
1 PTO day per month on the 1st of each month. 9 paid holidays offered.
Outline: ONSITE POSITION, MUST BE LOCAL TO COLUMBUS, OH. Expect 4 days per week onsite, and one hybrid during onboarding/training (~2 months). 3 days onsite will be the ongoing expectation.
Hybrid role. Candidates are expected to be onsite multiple days per week. Candidates must reside in Ohio within a two‑hour commute.
Desired Industry Experience: Financial Services Experience
Team Focus The BOBCAT team is responsible for the implementation of the new Contract Management System (FIS Asset Finance), as well as the integration into the overall environment and the migration of data from the legacy contract management system to the new system.
Team Composition: Approximately 35 core team members (business and IT); 100 vendor team members; and an additional 75 part‑time business participants.
What business problem needs to be solved? Implement a new packaged contract management system, migrate approximately 1.9 million contracts, deliver over 200 integrations between the new and legacy systems, and enhance legacy systems to integrate with the new contract management system. This includes significant functional and technical testing of the new system, legacy systems, and integrations.
Project Focus / Description Key Point: The candidate will focus on driving the BMW business team in the testing of data migration and exploratory/functional testing of the new Contract Management System.
Testing of data migration – functional standpoint. Lead business – test in the system forms. Calculations that come out. BAPM, coordinate through the business – get through issues they find. Been involved in testing, business analyst PM – BAPM – test manager. (no test automation)
The ideal candidate will possess both test management/execution experience and project management experience. This individual must be a strong leader and collaborator, capable of building and maintaining productive relationships with members of the delivery teams.
Required Skill Set (Technical and Soft Skills)
Minimum 7‑10 years of experience in software testing, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
Experience in managing and mentoring a team of test engineers, including performance management and professional development.
Proven track record in planning, executing, and managing complex testing and defect management initiatives.
Hands‑on experience with delivery and test management tools such as JIRA, X‑Ray, and Confluence.
Solid understanding of project management principles, including issue, risk, and dependency management, to ensure seamless integration of testing efforts across teams.
Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross‑functional teams, ensuring alignment between internal and external testing efforts.
Exceptional ability to structure, illustrate, and communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences, ensuring understanding and actionable insights.
Demonstrated adaptability and problem‑solving skills to navigate challenges and uncertainties in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong prioritization and time management skills to balance multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
In‑depth knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices, with the ability to adapt and implement Agile principles in testing and delivery processes.
Experience as a Project Manager or Scrum Master.
Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies and their impact on testing processes.
Familiarity with software development life cycle models and project management practices.
Advanced skills in JIRA and Confluence, including the ability to create and manage dashboards, workflows, and documentation.
Hands‑on experience in test automation development and familiarity with automation frameworks and tools.
Nice‑to‑Have Skill Set (Technical and Soft Skills)
Additional project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PMI‑ACP).
Experience with large‑scale data migrations and system integrations.
Prior experience working with financial or asset management systems.
Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
