Base Pay Range $85,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr

Senior Contract Specialist (SCS) Provide full lifecycle acquisition support for federal contracting activities. This role requires deep knowledge of federal acquisition regulations, a proven ability to manage complex procurement actions, and experience mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
Provide cradle-to-grave acquisition support across multiple contract types and dollar thresholds.
Develop and review pre- and post-award documentation, including acquisition plans, statements of work, source selection materials, and contract modifications.
Apply expert knowledge of the FAR, VAAR, and other applicable regulations to ensure compliance and sound business decisions.
Lead the preparation of complex solicitation packages and provide technical guidance throughout the evaluation and award process.
Offer advisory support to government clients on acquisition strategies, cost elements, and performance requirements.
Analyze contracting issues, identify alternatives, and recommend effective courses of action.
Collaborate with stakeholders to standardize and improve acquisition practices across sites and service lines.
Provide leadership and mentorship to lower-level acquisition staff.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of recent (within the past 7 years) federal contracting experience supporting pre- and post-award activities.
Education: Bachelor's degree in any field, or 24 semester hours in business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, management, or related disciplines.
Certifications: FAC-C (Level I, II, III, or Professional) or DAWIA Level III preferred; equivalent commercial training may be considered.

Excellent writing and time management skills.
Ability to refine evaluation criteria and conduct thorough analyses of complex contracting issues.
Proven success advising clients and delivering compliant procurement packages.
Specialized Experience:
Construction and A/E Contracting: Minimum of 3 years developing and administering A/E solicitations, contracts, and modifications; Minimum of 3 years developing and administering construction solicitations and contracts; Strong understanding of FAR Parts 14, 15, 36, and 43.
Complex Services (Healthcare Contracts): Minimum of 5 years developing and managing complex service contracts under FAR Parts 13 15; Familiarity with healthcare terminology and service delivery requirements.
Leasing and Specialized Agreements: Minimum of 2 years supporting real property leasing, utility contracts, and non‑medical agreements such as interagency and sharing agreements; Knowledge of FAR, VAAR, GSAM, and GSAR leasing procedures.
