Supplier Quality Engineer
>Seek a driven quality engineer to lead supplier quality activities, manage cradle‑to‑grave supplier performance, and ensure seamless transitions of components into mass production. This role supports high‑quality EV manufacturing through strong technical expertise, cross‑functional collaboration, and decisive problem‑solving.
Key Responsibilities
Lead supplier quality activities, resolving issues quickly to protect plant operations.
Manage assigned mass‑production suppliers, including scorecards and performance tracking.
Conduct root‑cause analysis using 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, and implement permanent corrective actions.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Plant Quality, Logistics, NPI, and suppliers to drive product quality.
Support new product builds, ensuring smooth launch into mass production.
Perform supplier audits, assessments, and drive process improvements.
Report SQE performance, risks, KPIs, and improvement strategies to leadership.
Qualifications
5+ years of SQE experience in Interiors (IP, consoles, door panels, trims).
Bachelor's in Engineering; Master’s preferred.
Strong understanding of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, GD&T, SPC, MSA, IATF 16949.
Ability to read drawings and interpret specifications.
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint; knowledge of Smartsheet, Minitab, JMP, JIRA is a plus.
Strong communicator, team player, data‑driven, and adaptable.
ASQ or Six Sigma certification preferred.
