Roadway Project Engineer
Lochmueller Group is a growing civil engineering consulting firm with an emphasis on infrastructure. We provide multi‑disciplined services for a variety of public agencies and private entities, including transportation design; water resources design; environmental analysis & permitting; construction engineering & inspection; traffic engineering & transportation planning; surveying; and land acquisition & appraisal. Our transportation design team offers a variety of services, but much of our work involves roadway and bridge design for local public agencies and state DOTs.

Key Responsibilities
Supporting project managers in the planning and execution of roadway design projects
Assisting in the preparation of project proposals, budgets, and timelines
Conducting engineering analysis and design for assigned projects
Designing complete projects, or components of projects, and preparing complete project documents
Applying engineering techniques, methods, and design criteria to support project execution
Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project goals are met
Preparing and reviewing project documentation, reports, and specifications
Collaborating with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies
May be involved in the mentorship and development of junior level staff
May perform other duties associated with this role
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related field
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
4+ years of progressive civil engineering experience in roadway/highway design
Working knowledge of OpenRoads Designer
Willing to work as part of a team
