Sidwell Friends School, Robotics Team Assistant Coach
Sidwell Friends School, a coeducational Quaker day school with campuses in NW Washington, DC and Bethesda, MD is seeking robotics team assistant coaches supporting grades 9-12. This position provides support and supervision of students during weekend robotics team meetings and competitions.
Responsibilities
Support and supervise students during weekend robotics team meetings and competitions.
Chaperone weekend competitions at the end of each season.
Work Sundays 12-4pm and/or Fridays 4-8pm (4-8 hours per week).
Ensure all background checks, health and safety protocols, and CPR/AED certification are completed and maintained.
Qualifications
High school diploma (or equivalent); bachelor’s level coursework is a plus.
Prior experience working with children.
Strong technology, organization and communication skills.
Flexibility, patience, sense of humor, and a demonstrated love for working with students.
Robotics and/or Engineering experience is a plus but not required.
Compensation
Hourly Rate $18.00-$23.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
