Job Description
An employer is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join their Network Engineering team. This person will be responsible for cleaning up Firewalls, doing network routing and switching, and doing automation using Ansible. The right candidate has 5+ years of experience and has strong communication skills.
Required or Desired Licenses/Certifications
JNCIE-SEC, JNCIP-SEC, or JNCIS-SEC (Juniper SRX firewalls) – must
OSPF and BGP routing – highly desired
Juniper and Cisco switching certifications – highly desired
Ansible Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Python PCAP, PCPP1, or PCPP2 – must
F5 certifications – a plus
Required Knowledge and Skill
Hard-driving, creative, curious learner, and determined network technologist
5+ years of advanced experience in a complex Juniper and Cisco Enterprise Network environment.
Advanced knowledge of Juniper routers/routing, firewalls, and switches.
Aruba and Cisco wireless
F5 BigIP LTM advanced experience
Cisco ISE advanced experience
Advanced knowledge and understanding of local and wide area networking theory and technologies.
Advanced knowledge of routing, switching, network protocols (OSPF and BGP) technologies, and VPN configurations associated with LAN/WAN networks.
Experience in network scripting to perform automation: Rancid, Ansible, Python
Automation: Ansible Playbook, Tasks, Modules creation, and deployment
SolarWinds Real-time and trend monitoring for network infrastructure.
