Project Manager
Duration: 1512 Hours
Location: Austin, TX (Position will be 3 days remote with 2 days required onsite)
Candidate must already reside in Texas. Do not submit candidates who are currently out of state and planning to move to Texas.
Job Description Project managers are responsible for planning, budgeting, overseeing and documenting all aspects of the project. They may lead a team or work independently. PMP certification is required. Proof of certification may be requested.
Additional job details and special considerations This role replaces the current Program Integrity Case Tracker (PICT) system for multiple Medicaid Program Integrity teams. The position implements Agile (Scrum) practices, applies PMI framework, and works with stakeholders, clients and IT teams. Responsibilities also include technical support during work hours and on-call support as needed.
Responsibilities
Oversee design and development work.
Manage project using feature‑driven Agile methodology, track progress, and align assignments with timelines.
Develop and manage project plans.
Document risks, issues, and contingency plans; ensure resolution of issues and removal of project barriers.
Provide weekly status updates (written and verbal) and conduct regular project team status meetings.
Oversee SDLC artifacts, ensuring business requirements translated into technical specifications, and facilitate the SDLC process.
Maintain relationships with project sponsors and stakeholders.
Communicate and present effectively.
Work collaboratively in a team environment.
Transfer working knowledge to current staff.
